Importance of
the Activity:
Prevention
& Control of HIV-AIDS is not the only responsibility of Health Department.
For effective implantation of the programme, is possible only with the support
& co-ordination of the line Departments. Certain Departments deal with High
Risk Groups

Providing care & support to PLHA
v Spreading awareness among the target
Groups regarding Prevention & Control of HIV
Strategies :

Meeting with stakeholders Department
Heads.
v
Discussion on HIV/AIDS Prevention and
Care & Support for PLHIV in their monthly meetings.
v
Training for the Line Department on
HIV-AIDS.
v
Support from the respective Departments
for the PLHA-by providing different social benefit Schemes.
v
Awareness Programme through Mass
Media
v
Active Participation in DAPCC Meeting
& further support.
Role of DAPCU
:

Involvement & Co-coordination with the Line Departments in all HIV-AIDS
related activities

Materializing the above said
strategies

Making use of the schemes available
in the different Departments for PLHA
