DAPCU Dewas (M.P) Response to the Theme : DAPCU Led Single Window Model

Describe efforts taken or Planned by DAPCU to increase the number of people availing Social  Benefit Schemes in your district in FY 2016-17.

DAPCU Led Single Window Model is an innovative approach launched by NACO to implement Social Protection scheme for  PLHIV, CABA, MARPs in district level. Beyond prevention and treatment services to PLHIV Social Protection is viewed with great importance for reducing vulnerability and mitigating the impact of the disease in the district.
Again Social Protection has been globally recognized as an effective approach for impact mitigation of HIV/AIDS. For prevention of HIV/AIDS think globally, act locally concept can be implemented by DAPCU Led Single Window model (DLSWM).

DAPCU-DEWAS implements the DLSWM through 05 Helpdesks. At the end of the month all the 05 helpdesks submitted the application of various social benefit scheme applied by PLHIV, CABA & MARPs to DAPCU Dewas instructed DAPCU to Submit the PLHIV list to him. DAPCU Dewas confidentially submitted the same to ADM, SDM Again in all DAPCC Meeting the Social Benefit Scheme for PLHIV was discussed. In the last meeting held on 06.05.16 Collector and District Magistrate instructed to DAPCU to meet after the meeting to discuss separately the problem of getting various Social Benefit Scheme to PLHIV.

Dewas DAPCU's Response to- Familiarizing new District Collectors to the HIV programme in the district

Whenever a new DC joins  the district , the DAPCU in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh will orient her/him her through the District Health Society Meeting. The following points will be discussed.
  1. Programme Planning and Implementation
  2. ICTC Services
  3. Scaling up of testing through FICTCs       
  4. STI/RTI services
  5. Link ART Centre and Coordination with ART centres in the neighbouring districts (Dewas has no ART Centre)
  6. Role of NGOs(DIC, DLN, TI etc) and supervision by DAPCUs
  7. World AIDS Day
  8. Red Ribbon Express
  9. International Women’s Day
  10. IEC activities
  11. Voluntary Blood Donation Camps
