DAPCU Nanded Response to the Theme: World AIDS Day-2013

     Nanded District came under the high prevalence district in the Maharashtra. DAPCU always grab the opportunity for IEC and spread information about HIV/AIDS. On World Aids Day occasion with the help of District Administration Nanded DAPCU has celebrated WAD in a very different and innovative way. DAPCU has its Red Ribbon Club in all colleges of the District. DAPCU has given the message of HIV/AIDS awareness by forming a Big Human Chain (Ribbon) with the help of youths in Red Ribbon Club at shri. Guru Govind Singh Stadium.

      

In this grant ceremony Hon. District Collector Shri. Dhiraj Kumar were present. District Progrm Officer Dr. Surekha Lambe has given a message of "Getting to Zero" on this grant Occasion. With the help of all colleges DAPCU arranged the biggest rally in the district.

Nanded DAPCU Response- Positive Prevention

Positive Prevention (Nanded District, Maharashtra) : 

Positive Prevention is the most important parameter to prevent any further infection from PLHIV to other Un-infected person. If we unable to control infection from PLHIV to the un-infected person directly a lot of people are at risk.
Nanded district is also working hard and implementing strategies to encourage positive prevention. We believe that reducing or eliminating stigma and discrimination are important aspects of positive prevention. As when PLHIV have no fear , they are able to access services and lead a healthy and responsible life 

1. The most important step the district has taken  to avoid any single  Stigma & Discrimination case by maximum utilization of district resources like NGO, mainstreaming of several departments, sensitization of . health staff etc. If any such case happened the DAPCU team work hard to sort out the matter and serve the PLHIV.
2. If any critical matter happened regarding Stigma & Discrimination, DAPCU takes the help of District Authority to get rid out of the problem.

Nanded DAPCU's Response to Question of the Month February 2012 - Facilitating Pre ART Registration

1. For the last 6 months client wise ICTC wise  review in monthly meeting
2. Weekly Review From August-11 - cross checking the ART line list with ICTC +ve line list
3. Meeting with ART SMO for tracking missed clients
4. Line List is given to NGOs for tracking clients and  meeting them
5. Meetings with MS of RH for availability of RH vehicle for +ve client to Reach ART Center Nanded
6. Outreach by counsellor to meet missed clients
7. Meeting with PHC MO and Sub center ANM, ASHA to track missed clients while ensuring confidentiality
8. Co-Ordination meeting with ICTC Counsellor , ART Counsellor, NGO Workers and ASHA
9. E-mails to other districts for tracking migrant clients
