Different stalls were set up to Informed, Educate & Communicate the visitors by different components of DSACS with the help of peripheral partners like TI-NGOs.
Over 3000 visitors, organizers & guests including PLHIVs were benefitted by the event.

Suggestions & Ideas for observing World AIDS Day 2012
  • Our main focus should be on the welfare of people (especially children and women) affecting/ effecting for HIV AIDS. Therefore, we can adopt following measures regarding the same: 1) Stalls can be set up by different government departments to educate visitors (including PLHIVs) regarding various Social Welfare Schemes. 2)Goods essential for daily life can be distributed to PLHIVs and their families from the part of funds provided to observe World AIDS Day.
  • Religious leaders from different communities can be invited to participate in World AIDS Day Program. Further, we can also include Religious Institutions, Places & Leaders to educate people regarding the epidemic and elimination of Unawareness, Ignorance, fear and misconceptions of General Public. Red Ribbon Club bodies can be formed at religious institutions with the help of Religious Leaders.
  • Above can be done with Political Parties & their Leaders too.
  • A mass rally can be planned with inviting dignitaries. Unawareness, Ignorance, fear and misconceptions of General Public regarding HIV-AIDS epidemic can be eradicated by this measure. Aware General Public will be very crucial to achieve our objective of Getting to Zero, Zero New HIV Infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero AIDS Related Deaths.
