About us

District AIDS Prevention and Control Units (DAPCUs) have been established in high priority districts across the country as a step toward decentralization of the coordination and management of National AIDS Control Programme. DAPCUs have been trained and mentored to perform the challenging task of coordinating and monitoring of NACP activities. They work in close coordination with the district administration to take up district specific  initiatives by leveraging local resources. Read more about DAPCUs here.

We have built this  forum (DAPCU Speak) to facilitate discussions between DAPCUs. We believe that sharing of experiences, ideas and strategies will help DAPCUs to learn and perform better. In addition to DAPCUs we would request all HIV functionaries and stakeholders to give their critical suggestions for further improvements of DAPCU functioning.

Share your thoughts/opinions on posts of DAPCU Speak and share experiences of working with DAPCUs, in your district/state for coordination and monitoring. Please write to dapcuspeak@gmail.com. Our team will review your contribution and post it under appropriate themes.

How can someone post on DAPCU speak?
A theme/ question   will be announced each month and DAPCUs are requested to respond by sending an email to  dapcuspeak@gmail.com  (we will review and publish it).  to know the theme under discussion please visit "Discussion" page.

If you would like to suggest a theme, please send us an email regarding the theme and why you think DAPCUs should discuss it.

If DAPCUs or others (working through DAPCUs)  would like us to put up posts regarding your experiences  please write to us.

Is this blog open only for DAPCUs?
No. While the primary objective of the blog is to encourage experience sharing between DAPCUs we would like to hear from other stakeholders too. All stakeholders are encouraged to visit this blog and provide their constructive inputs and feedback on the content. Please email your suggestions or comments and we will try to incorporate them.

  30. Remember the feeling you get from taking the first step is far better than the feeling you get from sitting around thinking about it. So get up and get moving. Take the first step this year – just one small step forward.

The greatest miracle of your success will not be that you finished, it will be that you had the courage to begin.
